BREAKING NEWS!

SEARCH FOR A YAMAHA MUSIC LONDON AMBASSADOR 2024 WINNERS ANNOUNCED

We are thrilled to announce the winners of the Search for a Music Ambassador 2024 competition, held for the second year in partnership with Headliner. After hundreds of entries, two hard fought semi-finals, the incredible grand final showcased our multi-talented finalists, soloists Avygale Smith, Jidé Kuti, Hide Takemoto, Ben Murphy, Peter J Adams, Sam Wray and duos Stone Jets and Deuxes.

Each artist demonstrated their own distinct style and musicianship, ranging from instrumental virtuosos to soul-stirring singer songwriters and electrifying duos. The level of musical diversity, originality and talent made it a challenging decision for our judging panel which included Harry Knyt from RCA/Sony and Toyin Mustapha, head of content UK for TikTok, Dani Simonett of UTA, a leading global talent company and Nichal Sethi, Head of Artist Services UK, TikTok.

Winners were selected based on their playing skills, originality, and stage presence.

And it is with great pleasure we announce our new Music Ambassadors.

Deuxes- two multi instrumentalist sisters make up this dynamic electrifying indie-soul duo

Stone Jets - bassist and vocalist Given and guitarist Manfred create original toe-tapping music, wrapped in soul and the joy of sharing music

Hidé Takemoto - a guitar wizard and composer who combines finger-style artistry with a myriad of musical influences

These talented musicians will serve as a Yamaha Music London Ambassador for twelve months, in this role they will be given access to Yamaha's wide array of award-winning instruments for a year, the chance to perform at some of London's best venues (including Yamaha's Soho-based music store) and receive exclusive mentorship in developing their future success as artists.

The winners will also benefit from a professional recording session at Headliner HQ's studio, an appearance on the Headliner Radio music podcast, an editorial profile in Headliner, three months of PR support, mentoring sessions, and social media support via shares across Yamaha Music London and Headliner’s social media pages.
