EMERGING TALENT SHINES BRIGHT IN THE SHOWDOWN FINALE 7th DECEMBER 2023

The stage is set, the excitement is mounting and the spotlight is ready to shine on the extraordinary talents emerging from the heart of London’s vibrant music scene. The grand finale of the Yamaha Music London and Headliner competition to the new Yamaha Music London Ambassadors for 2024 takes place on Thursday 7th December 2023 at Yamaha’s iconic music store, Yamaha Music London on Wardour Street.

The search for the new ambassadors has provided a platform for new and emerging musicians to showcase their originality and artistry. Over the past few months, the competition has received nearly two hundred entries of a very high standard with a diverse array of musical styles and genres represented at two strongly contested semi-finals.

From soulful singers to incredible instrumentalists, the finalists promise a night of exceptional entertainment each bringing a unique flavour to the stage. The competition has seen a remarkable display of songwriting prowess, instrumental virtuosity, and captivating stage presence, leaving our music industry judges with the difficult task of selecting three Yamaha Music London ambassadors for 2024.

The judging panel consists of an incredible lineup of industry professionals.

  • Harry Knyt, Senior Consultant at RCA/Sony and A&R Director for NQ/Sony Publishing. The RCA Label Group UK is a flagship recording label of Sony Music Entertainment encompassing RCA Records, RCA Victor and Since '93.
  • Toyin Mustapha, head of content UK for TikTok, the go-to social media destination for short-form mobile videos. Based on forecasts released in May 2021, the number of TikTok users in the United Kingdom is expected to reach almost 15 million users in 2025.

  • Nichal Sethi, Head of Artist Services UK, TikTok.

This final event is set to be a stepping stone for our ambassadors offering them unique opportunities and exposure to the music industry. The ambassadorship will provide the winning emerging artists with access to Yamaha's extensive collection of award-winning instruments for a year, the chance to perform at some of London's best venues (including Yamaha's Soho-based music store) and receive exclusive mentorship in developing their future success as artists.

The Ambassadors will also benefit from a professional recording session at Headliner HQ's studio, an appearance on the Headliner Radio music podcast, an editorial profile in Headliner, and social media support via shares across Yamaha Music London and Headliner’s social media pages.

Join us at Yamaha Music London for an exciting evening of music discovery, community support and celebration.
