Yamaha Music London is a Trading company of Yamaha Music Europe GmbH (UK) registered in England and Wales BRO14498 at Sherbourne Drive, Tilbrook MK7 8BL.
The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom only, aged 18 years or over except employees of Yamaha Music Europe GmbH and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
Entrants must be able and willing at their own cost to attend the final in person at Yamaha Music London, Wardour Street and perform live for the judges and audience.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
The closing date for entry will be 22nd January 2025, at 23:59. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
The Finals will be held in store at Yamaha Music London on Thursday, 6th February 2025
No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:
Entrants to submit videos via Instagram, YouTube or file upload
Submission should be an original song created by the participant.
Submission should be between 30 seconds and 5 minutes in duration.
Submission must not contain inappropriate, offensive, or defamatory content
The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
Entrants must:
Have a catalogue of original music.
Should be able to perform live
Play a musical instrument
The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

To be made a Yamaha Music London Ambassador for one year
This includes but not limited to: An instrument of your choice to play as a Yamaha Music London Ambassador

The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
The entries will be judged on
Quality of playing
Creativity and originality.
Relevance to the competition theme.
Overall presentation and quality of the video.
Strength of musical instrument playing
Entrants will be selected to be a finalist by a panel of Musicians and the Yamaha team.
Prize winners will be selected by competing in a final live performance at Yamaha Music London, judged by an independent panel from the music industry.
The Finalists will be notified by email and/or DM on Instagram/Facebook and/or Phone call within 7 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not agree to attend the final within 3 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the offer as a finalist and pick a replacement finalist.
The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
Ownership and Intellectual Property: Participants retain ownership of their video submissions. By entering the Competition, participants grant Yamaha Music London a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display their video submissions for promotional purposes
The winner agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Data Protection: Any personal data collected as part of the Competition will be processed in accordance with Yamaha Music London’s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.yamahamusiclondon.com/UK-Privacy-Policy-Data-Protection-Statement-and-Cookies-Information/.
Participants’ personal data will only be used for the administration of the Competition and related promotional activities.
Yamaha Music London’s decision as to those able to take part and selection of winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
Yamaha Music London shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
Acceptance of Terms: By submitting a video, participants confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Yamaha Music London also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
