A solid spruce or cedar top and solid rosewood back and sides are the basis for the class-leading GC22 Classical Guitar, which offers a carefully balanced, sweet-sounding tone with rich bass and clear highs.

Developed with knowledge gained from decades of handcrafting experience, the GC Series is the ultimate classical guitar range. Carefully crafted from hand-chosen solid tonewoods, every GC Series guitar shows all the hallmarks of a world-class instrument, thanks to our luthiers' incredible skill and attention to detail. 

Whether you choose the warm sweet tone of the ceder-topped GC22C or the clear rich resonance of the spruce-topped GC22S, either guitar can provide a lifetime of exquisite tone and playability.

Our Yamaha Grand Concert range are built in the traditional way that Classical guitars are made. Therefore, it has no truss rod as it is not needed.

The GC is our high end Classical Guitar range. 

The GC22 are made in China and the GC32 onwards are made in Japan.
