The new PSR-A5000 offers live performers a powerful keyboard packed with a wide variety of newly sampled traditional and modern oriental instruments. With a total of 1,161 Voices, including 299 Oriental Voices, 44 Oriental Drum Kits and 20 Revo!SFX kits, the PSR-A5000 gives performers unlimited creative expression, while the 454 Styles (including 260 Oriental Styles, Khaleeji, Shami, Masri, Maghrebi, Persian and Turkish) ensure a broad range of musical directions to choose from.
Meticulously recorded instruments such as Qud, Qanoon, Nay, and many other voices are given their amazingly realistic sounds thanks to a new velocity-sensitive portamento Super Articulation. Dedicated oriental instrument waveforms that are 10 times more powerful than the previous model add an extra musical layer to the feature-rich mix.

SOPHISTICATED STRINGS, POWERFUL PERCUSSION

In creating truly authentic oriental sounds, the most important instruments have been sampled with greater care than ever before. An example can be seen in the Istanbul Strings feature, which was studio-recorded with absolute attention to the finest details and nuances. Equally impressive is the expanded drum kit functionality, which allows players to play 128 mapped instruments from a single kit. Another highlight feature of the drum mapping is the optimized, intuitive layout for oriental finger drumming on a keyboard. This, combined with newly added key-off notes gives every musical piece its authentic sound and beat.

NEW PORTAMENTO AND EXPANDED MEMORY

The newly added Crossfade Portamento also comes with velocity and time-related parameters, which allow players to edit the speed and velocity of successively played notes. The result is a smoother, harmonic and more expressive transition between individual notes. The new PSR-A5000 also comes with expanded memory which has been increased by approximately 1 GB, thus allowing players to create and store more content at a higher quality.

ALWAYS THE RIGHT STYLE

Equipped with 454 styles, including 210 new oriental Styles with richer sound dynamics and more power than ever before the PSR-A5000 offers a wide range. Styles from a variety of genres, such as Khaleeji (36 Styles), Shami (35 Styles), Masri (15 Styles), Maghrebi (50 Styles), Persian (43 Styles), and Turkish (31 Styles). The Style Section Reset function allows players to rewind the rhythm of the Style to beat 1 immediately. This is also helpful when needing to quickly synchronise a performance on stage. Style content is categorised to be convenient for players of oriental music. Style Section Time Signatures offers a range of time signatures within a single Style, which means that different musical parts can be combined. Using the Style Creator the pattern length is expanded to 128 bars. With Audio Phraser its possible to make your own Audio Style and enjoy playing loop music. The Audio Phraser software can create the Audio Part while adding MIDI parts with Style Creator function onboard.

INTUITIVE USER INTERFACE AND CHORD LOOPER FUNCTION

With the 7-inch touch display and new graphic interface, players are always in control with intuitive features like Scale Tune buttons for easy access during live performances. Individual note pitches can be easily modified and stored in Scale Tune Memories, while the FSB keyboard offers greater playability thanks to its heavier initial key resistance, greater key travel, and refined keyboard structure. The innovative Chord Looper lets players record chord sequences and play them back, thus freeing their left hand for more freedom and focus during a musical performance.
